Looking Fab in Photos

The following are some tips from online research I found in order to make your photos ALL picture frame worthy.

1. Prevent red eye by fixing your eyes on a light source right before you pose for the camera.
2. Do not look directly into the lens of the camera.
3. If you are having outdoor pictures taken, schedule the photo shoot in the afternoon.
4. Close your eyes and have the photographer count to three. Open your eyes right as he says three....works every time.
4. If you are sitting, a
Ways turn your knees to an angle.
5. Apply your make-up in natural light.
6. Avoid using shimmery make-up, even on the eyes. It makes you appear greasy in photos. Matte palettes work best.
7. Be natural, relax and do not pose stiffly.
8.  If standing, cross your ankles and point you front toe at an angle which will elongate your leg.
9. Remember to use blush, just make sure it's not glittery. Blush is the camera's BFF.
10. Don't be a "teapot"-keep those hands off your hips!
11. When applying make-up create contrasts (ex. contrast eye make-up with lip color).
12. The fabric of your outfit can make a difference in photos. Watch for wrinkles, see-through fabrics, and undergarment lines.
13. Before you head out or to the photographer, do a test run. Snap some pics at home with your camera and fix any mistakes-make-up, poses, garments, etc.
14. Avoid the double chin issue by projecting your chin outward further than you normally would. It may feel awkward but don't worry, it will make you look fabulous!
15. Don't be intimidated by the camera, it shows in photos.
16. During theropods, focus on anything but having your picture taken, it will help you look less posed.
17. Most importantly, have fun, be silly, the best picture come from unplanned photos.
